of Education held at the High School
last evening the joint committee con-
sisting of the three councilmen. Harry
W. Mather, Henry P. motion and
Michael .1. Riordan, and the building
omnmittee of the Board, through their
chairman, Dr. J. M, iCoburn. reported
in favor of the purchase of the Ralf-
mond site, socalled, at the corner of
West and‘Elm Grove streets, and the
Fair-field County dairy site, Prospect.
avenue, and the Cedar street site be-
tween Elinwood avenue and flummlt
street. exceiitiug‘ the .RSammis lot.
which it was voted to acquire by con-
demnation proceedings. the option
price of this lot being in excess of
its real value. It was also voted to
ask the councilmen to borrow enough
money pending the issue of $200,000 in
bonds, to purchase these sites and
erect three suitable buildings.
