Mead, one of the best known men in
the western section of the state, died
suddenly at his home at 6 o'clock last
night, of heart, trouble, brought on by
an acute attack of indigestion, which
he suffered on Christmas day. Prov-
ious to that time. he had enjoyed the
best of health, and has not had a
physician in twenty-lire years.
Mr. Mead was «born here, April 17,

colonial ancestry. Mr. Mead was edu-
