tion in Franklin. street, and was un~

The secretary also read the annual
reports, including that of treasurer, A.
E. Winchester, which showed a very
satisfactory financial statement. Near-
ly $2,000 was realized from the de-
partment fair held in the new fire
house last spring, and it was voted to
divide the unexpended balance be-
tween the three companies of the de-
pertinent,

po Beach. was arrested yesterday at-
ternoon by Constable Henry C. Selzer.
This is the outcome of the recent auto
accident, in Van Zant street, East .Nor-
walk, when Marshall struck and se-
riously injured Minter William Mul-
queen, who ran across the street in
front of the auto;
The precarious condition of the boy
in the hospital urged the authorities
to make the arrest. Marshall was re-
leased under bonds of $500 for his ap-
pearance in court before Judge John
Keogh, on Saturday morning. at 9
o'clock, in answer to the charge of vio-
lating the motor vehicle law.
