the east track, and continued on across
and beyond the west track, the marks
in the roadway showing it to have gone
some ten feet west of the “west track.
Four other cars came along, but
both tracks were blocked and passen~
gore either waited or walked. Motor-
men Edward Burkedale, Robert Mor»
ton and Conductors Harry Phillipson
and Thomas Cahiil, experienced in the
handling of trolleys oil the track, man-
aged to pull the wayward car back to
the rails. When firmly established on
. its running base the car was on the
, west truck and had to return to North
Main and Wnshiugton streets 'betore
again beginning its uptown trip.
