the call for the town meeting of last
evening was voted upon—~the discon-
tinuance of an old highway in Silver-
imine—and this favorably. The con-
solidution matter went over for three
anonths more and the town reports
also took the same. course. The new-
ly drafted charter is to be published
in the local papers and the reports
{will be printed in pamphlet form he-
dore the next town meclhlg, to be
held in December.

bury Found Guilty
Harry Schrleber, and William
Whalley of Dnnbury were before
Judge Howard J. Curtis in the crim-
inal superloi1_Ecou11t. Bridgeport,yesters
day, charged with statutory burglary
and they pleaded guilty and received
their sentence. Schrieber was given
eight months in the county jail and
the séntence was suspended and he
was placed in charge of the probation
officer of Danbury and ordered to rc~
port to that crucial once a week.
They broke into 11 lunch wagon on
August 22 last and 100k some cigars,
pies and chewing gum. The entrance
to the wagon was made through a
window. The 'court was informed that

A pretty and happy September wed-
ding took place last evening when Miss
Daisy Anna Sample. accomplished
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel W
isempie, of 172, West street, and John
C. 'Metzler, of Hamilton avenue, were
joined in marriage at the home of the
bride at 7:30 o‘clock. The nuptials
were performed by Rev. John E. Zeiter
pastor of the South Norwalk Methodist
Eposcopal churchhin the presence or
a gathering of the relatives and inti-
mate friends of the contracting part-

The bride Was attended by her sister
Miss Bessie Semple. as bridesmaid.
and Ray Fowler, noted as best man.
The bride was becomingly and beauti-
fully attired in a gown of white mar-
quisette over white silk and carried a
bouquet of bridal roses. The bride-
msid was gowned in a dress of embroi-
dered marquisette and carried a ban
duet of. pink roses. The Wedding
march was played by Miss Willa Mll-
ler cousin of the bride.
At the conclusion of the ceremony
the happy party sat down to a wedding
luncheon and made merry.
The house was beautifully, but sim-
ply decorated for the occasion' with
palms, distributed tastefully. The
bride was the recipient of many beau-
tifhl and valuable wedding presents.
Later in the evening the bridal cou-
ple left on their honey moon trip to
Niagara Falls. They will be gone for
a week or more and upon their return
will take up their residence at their
newly furnished hilartments in Wood
Ward theatre
The young couple bade the best
wishes and congratulations of their
