, George B. Benjamin, aged sixty-one
years, committed suicide at Tokeneke
yesterday morning at 8 o'clock by
shooting himself in the mouth with a
revolver. ill health and despondenoy
were given as the causes wirihc led the
man to take his life, it being known
that for the past few days ire has been
mentally depressed.
Mr. Benjamin was a bookkeeper for
the Tokeneke Corporation and took
his life on the promises of the corpor‘
ation where he made his home. Ac
cording to the story told by the sister-

his revolver out of his bureau draw-

friends tried to persuade him to return
