of South Norwaik's most prominent
business men and citizens passed away
at his home. in South Main street. you-
terday afternoon at 5 o’clock. follow-
ing a short illness. He was in the
79th year of his use. Mr. 'llrowbrldgo
was stricken last Sunday evening with
T gastritis which he vino unable to throw
off.
Mr. 'I‘rowbridgo was the founder and
president of the C. S. {I‘mwbrldgo
Company, manufacturers of paper box~
tea, wood cases and printers. in this
capacity as well in that of a public
spirited citizen. Mr. Trowbrldge was
known and admired by an unusually
large circle of friends. He comes
froma well known family and has;
been a successful business man from
boyhood.
The deceased was born on February
10, 1831 at Woodbury. Conn. of Mr.
and Mrs. Nelson D. 'l‘rowbridgo. At
