has been housekeeper tor Samuel
Hitchcock at No. 13 Noble street. to
‘West Haven. committed suicide yes-
terday afternoon by drinking, the con-
tents of a three ounce bottle at car-
boilc acid, and two tlirree ounce bottles
of chloroform. When Mr. Hitchcock
returned home this evening he found
her dead. The medical examiner. who
was called. said that she had been
dead for four houri.
She leit seven letters to frieus and
a note saying that shahdd been in ill
health and was deepondent. in one
of the letters was $250 to a triend.
Mrs. Van Golder of West Haven. She
also left 8100 to pay lunersi expenses.
