Reelfoot Lake territory have gathered
at ltldgelay, where there is high
ground.
Whether the raging water of the
Mississippi river flood caught many
persons of the Reelfoot lowlands us
they scurried for high ground last
nigbtyhas not been determined. Prac-
tically all the livestock that grazed on
the lowlands of Lake county. has been
drowned, and it in reported two chil-
dren of refugees lost their lives as
they fled last night.
When the levee near Hickman. K12.
broke yesterday afternoon, letting the
hoot waters of the Mississippi into
the ileulfoot Lake country, the wartr
ing was ilushud by telephone and
