to Speak on Wool Tariil in

WASHINGTON. April 2.-—When ite-
presentntlve Hill finished his speech
on the Republican substitute for the
Democratic wool hill. Friday night
Representative Reilly. secured the
door and said that in his opinion Mr.
Hill was not a compentent witness on
the wool question. He charged that
Mr. Hill was interested in the Nor-
wailt Wooicn Milt company, and wns
vice president oi the company and
that his son was its treasurer. Mr.
Hill, he claimed. should not be ul-
iowed to sit on a jury where the in-

were in question.

ing up the speedy construction oi the
new bridge; The case of Bridge Com-
mittee vs. William Potimore is in the
courts now. having been appealed to
the Supreme Court oi Errors. where
it is hoped a decision will be forthcom-
ing in may. Should the decision or
this couri'be adverse to the town. in-
dications are that the construction at
the bridge will be delayed until next
year. until the present bridge bill has
been amended by the legislature so as
to clarity certain provisions which at
