against the members of the class, one
member of the church said yesterday,
but the protest was made solely on
behalf of those who wished to adhere
tothe established creed and doctrines
of the church .still in force under the
present church manual.
The articles and statement of doc- .1

containing 12 articles and is known as
the “creed 011883." There is in this
'a form for the admission of candidates
by confession, which states that the
candidate subscribes to the articles in
effect according to the extent of their
knowledge and understanding.
At the admission of members by
confession at the church last July, Mr.
