tion Army. who has had charge of the
local corps for the past six months.

tablo work this little gathering of men
and women do in the course oi six
months.
The reports are as follows:
Statistical report, work done by io-
uary 28th, 1912.
88 open air services were held with
a total attendance on the part of our
own membership of 738.‘ while more
than 6,000 people from all walks of life
gathered around to hear the gospel.
141 public indoor services were held
with an attendance of 3.493 people,
no other place of worship.
67 persons publicly professed con-
version at these indoor meetings. A
number w‘ero men addicted to the use
of strong drink, who have by the help
of (led given It up and pro today living
good. honest. Christian lives and a
credit to the community.
9 of these people have been taken
in us Salvation Army soldiers and are
today members oi the South Norwuik
corps.
2.600 copies of pure literature were
sold in the saloons and other public
places. Many of the men in the sa-
loons were given papers tree and
nrsay others were spoken to about
Christ.
354 hours were spent by Mrs. Per~
rett and myself in visitation. Many or
the homes visited were among the
most needy and poorest in ‘Norwalks.
335 families were visited and their
various needs dealt with. in some in-
stances coal, clothing and groceries
were given. The slot: were comforted
and prayed with. and in many homes
spiritual help was given and the in
males were helped and blessed by our
calling. '
195 meals were given outside
Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
175 Thanksgiving dinners were giv-
en to poor children and mothers.
100 baskets were sent out Christmas
people a maimed Christmas dinner.
:26 poor children were given cloth-
ing, shoes and toys “for Christmas.
13 men who had no place to sleep
were given free beds.
5 people who were stranded in The
Norwalits were given their car fare
either home or to where they could
find friends.
Hundreds were helped with clothing,
hood. milk and other things in the
hour of need. .
45 services were held for children
and young people leth on attendance
of 1,801. many of whom go to no other
Sunday school or children 3 meetings.
