to Norwalk on business yesterc
day and took from the Norwalk Sav-
ings Bank 3110 with which to transact

Murray. who found him lying in lilgh
street. and when he awoke at the po-
lice station ut 10 o‘clock he found his
money had disappeared.
Victor has an. idea tliat'herwas rob-
bed in a certain Norwalk saloon where
he spent some time. and that. he was
first drugged'by the bartender. He re-
members nothing about this. but that
is his solution oi the missing wad. The
money was in an inside pocket and in.
side the bank tboolt. His bank book
was intact and his gold watch and
chain remained upon him, but the cash
was gone. ‘
l Chief Thomas Leatherisnd is con
ducting a rigid investigation and will
attempt to ascertain whether or not
Cedar was given the "K. 0.." as it is
called. '
Cedar was not held by Judge Edward
M. Lockwood, who recognized his us-
ual plan in the case of a. first offence
for intoxication. with' which Cedar
was charged. The man works in the
wire mills In Georgetown, and has
done so continuously 1017,22 years. He
sayshe will never come to Norwalk
“on business" again.
