MR. BROOK'S HORSE RUNS AWAY.

“That's a nice place, Toronto." said
Captain Thomas‘Huut, this morning,
when it was suggested that the horse
of P. W. Brooks. of the West Rocks
road which ran away last evening and
had not been heard from since, might
have gone to Canada.
Last evening the horse of Mr.
Brooks, driven by Master galley, col-
lided with Beeskow's bakery wagon
in Union avenue. The lights in this'
section of the city were out,
caused the collislon.
The crash frightened the Brooke's
horse and he jumped out‘ of the wag-
on, taking the harness‘MAF'fMflulch
on, taking one of the shafts with him.
He ran up Union avenue, turned to
the left and disappeared up Ward
street. It is reported that he turned
Into Main street and continued on
through Winnlpauk, but he is still
missing.
