structor, threw «herself into West riv-
er, a small stream in' the western
part of the city, and yesterday her
body was found in two feet of miter.

INSURANCE AGENT HELD FOR.

NAUGA'I‘UCK. Dec. 12.—~Charles J.
Berger. of Naugatuck. Was held to:
trial at the next term of the Superior
Court at Waterbury on the charge of
violation of the insurance laws of the
state relating to discrimination in the '
matter of life insurance. by a. deci-
sion handed down by Judge Hunger-
ford of the borough court, today. The '
hearing in the case was concluded last:
week and at that time Judge Hunger- ‘11 '
fond reserved decision, as he wished
to look over the papers in the case.
'Dhis morning he announced his deci-
sion. finding probable cause and hold-
ing Berger in $500 bonds. It is alleg-
ed that Berger had himself appoint-
ed an insurance agent and. accepted
commissions on insurance policies-1&1-
sued on his own life.
