After an illness of but a couple of
days, Henry J , Thompson. one of the
oldest engineers In the employ of the
New Haven road, who has been an
engineer for some 38 years on the
New Haven oystem, \and who.has been
until recently in charge of an express
Saturday at his home in Springfield.
Thempson was in the active employ
of the company until about a month
9.50, when he was retired on a pen-
sion. The funeral will, be held this
afternoon at Springfield and will be in
charge of the New Haven division of
