ing the present. week, though they
did not get as much money for their
stock. While seed oysters sold at 60
cents per bushel last week, a limited
demand caused tho price to fall to
50 cents this week. Thus far the J.
& .i. W. Elsworlh company have pur~
chased about 10.000 bushels. Some
of the. other big buyers are holding
off. in anticipation of a further drop
in the market.
Smith Brothers say that the outlook
for the oyster business is better than
it has been in several years. while
stock was never in better condition.
