the court of common pleas Tuesday.
George 1... Kaesar, who had an auto-
mobile repair shop at No. 926 Farming-
ton avenue, sued Howard J. Bloomer,
the lawyer, of Hartford and Bloom-
tomobile. The suit was brought in;
February. 1910. The defendant put, upl.
as a defense that the carburetor was
ruined and other damage done to the
machine. The jury gave a. verdict lot"
the plaintiff for $300.
The ground of appeal: and the only
ground. is that. the court refused to
permit the defendant to testify in his
own behalf. The finding gives the,
sleuogrsphic report of the languagei
used at the time of the refusal. Ac-
cording io the finding, Mr. Bloomer
early in the proceedings entered snI
appearance as attorney for himself
and filed various pleadings. At the
trial Percy 8. Bryant was present as
his attorney and acted as such until
