the corner of Main and Wall streets,
Saturday evening shortly alter 6
o'clock, and the captain was informed

oner. Mr. Campbell was found guilty
of driving his car at a rate at speed
that was unreasonable, although per-
haps not reckless, and Judge Edward
M. Lockwood fined him 010 and ‘oosts
yesterday morning, amounting in all
to $22.41, thus sustaining the trains
officer in his arrest. Campbell con-
sidered an appeal. but finally paid up

out ‘by several witnesses which were
secured by Captain Thomas Hunt.

not going over six or seven miles an
hour, although he, admitted nearly
passing Dunn's automobile, which ac-
cording to Mr. Donn walls going about
eight miles an hour.

accompanied by a young lady, thought

gentlemanly appearing young man,
but his conduct and his language.
