South Norwaik. Mr. Carrdee has be-
come well~known during his residence
of several years past In this city. He
is a member of the law drm of Keogh
& Candee, and his rare executive abili
ty will permit of his making a model
presiding otiicer, wlriie his sound busi-
ness judgment will be felt in the ad-
ministration of the association‘s af-
ti'airs. Mr. Candee is a native of Eas-
ton. Connecticut, having been born
August 9th, 1870. He attended the
public schools there. and later entered
Staples Academy. from which he arsd
usted. in 1893 he entered Yale Col-
lege, where ire graduated. and then ht"
went toward the west, where be en-
gaged in teaching school, spending one
year in Media. Pennsylvania, and one
year in Circleville. Ohio. On return.

Candee began the practice of law in
New Haven, remaining there from
