number of friends and have become
very popular among the people of the
church.
Last evening's reception. which was
held in the Sunday school room, was
under the auspices of the Women‘s
Guild The motor and wife were in
troduced to several hundred people
during the course of the evening. The
reception committee comprised the
warden and vestrymen of the church
and their wives. David w. Raymond

trylnen are Colonel E. H. Mathewson.

youth. about six feet tivc inches in
height. who was thin enough to sug-
gest danger in slipping through a
crack in the sidewalk. It was no hard
matter to spot the sbscondlng clerk
because of his height and ‘siimness.
When Hill and his companion were
taken to police headquarters’in Wash-
Ington. they admitted that they were
