school on John street has been furth-
er increased by the addition of two
teachers who began work yesterday.
Charles S. Newman. of Rochester. N.
Y.. who is at the head of the new
printing department, and Miss Eva l..
Hardy. of Portville. N. Y.. assistant in-
structor in the dressmaking depart-
ment and teacher of the classes in
art. mnthomnticn and English.
Mr. Newman had has wide exocri-
unce us a practlcui printer and for thir~
teen years was nesociuted with Enrcst
““1130! Rochester. N. Y.. ill conduct-
ing the leading concern of that city in
artistic printing. His work its a prin-
ter has been supplemented by a full
course ill the Meclmuits institute of
Rorhetcr n technitul school of some

Work at the liniian settlement of
Rochester and also teaching at the Me-
chanics institute of Rochester has been
part of the tilting oi Miss Hardy
ihc position she has taken in the St to

graduate of the domestic arts depart-

daily afternoon sessions of two and
