For the third time this week the
Norwslktmty Council held a meeting
last evening. The meeting of Wednet
day evening was a special one to take
some action on the prophslilon of the
Connecticut Company, who wish to re-
locate their trscks In Wall street. The
one of last evening was a continuation
of the previous one. which had ad-
journed after appointing a committee
to so to New Haven to hold a confer-
ence with the officials.
After the meeting had been called
intorder mayor Brundsxe gave the re
port of the visit of the committee to
the general odices of the trolley com
pany in New Haven. He said that they
had been treated very courteously and
that, although they could get. no pron»
tee from the odioisls that“ they would
fix the River street bridge over the
railroad tunnel. they were given an ex-
planation as to what the company to
asking for.
Mr. Punderford. whom they saw.
said that the bridge was built upon
wooden-girders and that It would not
stand paving. He said that he could
not promise that he would do the
work. but that he will look into the
matter and have a report ready for
