her name with one "i." The signa-
ture affixed to the note was spelled
“Ellinorc.”
The discrepancy was recognised and
aroused suspicion among the members
of the guild and largely influenced
them in determining to bring the mat
ter of the woman' s strange disappear
ance to the authorities.
Then the advertisement appeared
annduncing that Belle Siniore had died
at Los Angeles, Cal. An investigation

ment was found to have been untrue.

California. Salt Lake City. St. Louis
and Brooklyn as an eye and ear spe-

ski. The two came to London four
