The automobile was running near
the curb, and the boy stepped off the
sidewalk backward in front of the me-

crushed him.
Mr. Dahlgron caused the car to be
driven to police headquarters, where
the chauffeur gave his name as John
Quinn, of No. 6711 Tenth avenue. New
York. He was placed under arrest and
held in bonds of 85,000 on the charge
of manslaughter. Ball was furnished
by the proprietor of a incal garage.
Mr. Dahlsren told the police that he
was on the way from‘New York to his
summer home at Watch Hill, R. I. He
said the automobile was not his. but
had been lent him by 11 friend who is
in Europe.
