The conditions of the will were made
public yesterday when it was admitted
to probate.

bequeathed 86,000 in cash. her home at
93 Brueu street and one-third of all the
household effects and other personal
property.
Miss Carter was past sixty when she
died and Wong Hons Hoey is about
thirty. lie was afflicted with blind-
ness many years ago. and when later.
he became partly paralyzed Miss Car-
ter in pity toolt him into her home as

Mias Carter was a descendant of one
of the original settlers of Navrark,
her ancestors having come in 1668
from Milford Conn. She was a mem-
ber of the Third Presbyterian church.
and many years ago taught a class of
Chinese in the church. converting
some of them to Christianity.
When Wong liong Huey was eight
years old he began to attend Miss
Carter' Sunday-school class.

teacher became attached to him in a

ed her protege, Miss Carter saw that

the boy her interpreter, and acquired
