liars, and Chairman Maclarland, of
the High School committee. in bring-

illustration of the way in which
things ought to be done.
Previously. the lioard of School Vis-
ltorl had (littered with the High School

the High school. it appeared last
evening that all that was needed was
to have the policy of the High School
“committee explained. and when this
was done. it was found that the School
Visitors on almost every point were
unanimous in supporting the High
. School committee.

of getting together on such matters.

teel will present to the lloard of Esti-
mate this evening a united recoup
mendetion.
The statutes provide that the school
estimates for the town shall be sub-
mltted "by the High School cotnmittco
and the iloard of Visitors." While this
might mean that the High School near
mitten alone is responsible tor its de-
pertinent, we believe it well that the
two should work together and the High
School committee is in be commended
for talking for the joint meeting.
