ard A. Edwards, a graduate of the
Berkeley Berkeley Divinity School
hers, died yesterday at St. Luke's
Hospital, New York of typhoid fever.
He was a son of former Postmaster
Charles H. Edwards. of Portlilnd. and
was a graduate of Trinity College in
1903. His ordination was three years
later. He served‘as a curate under
the late Rev. Dr. Huntington. at Grace
Church. The body will be brought to
Portland for interment. Rev. Mr.
Edwards was 2d years old and married.

TOBACCO AND BARN BURNED.

2 M. Kelley, and his family. ‘Wbo live on
tlandleuood Mountain got up yester-
day they saw only a pile of debris
where stood a large tobacco barn. Dur-
ing the night the barn had burned. In
it were between 700 and 800 bundles of
tobacco ready to be delivered to a
dealer, and the farming tools. The
loss is about 32..000 The night watch-
man here saw the reflection of the
blaze. but could not arouse the Kelly
family to learn as to its location. The
wind blew a gale all night and it is sur-
prising that the nearby buildings did
not go with the barn.
