The work on the rebuilt and enlarg-
ed Hainer block is continuing to pro-
gress steadily. The principal effort is
now being directed to the interior of
the Ryder and Howard market. The
work is‘belng conducted in such a
manner as not to interfere with the
business of the market.
East Norwalk does not depend much
on wells these days of piped water but
there are a few wells left. especially
in the outlying districts. For several
months they have been in a bad way
but the rain of yesterday and last
night was sufficient to fill them and re-
peat the job several times.
