being backed in their threatened
strike by the. American Federation of
Labor; that they are very determined
to fight. and also that they are then
oughly dissatisfied with the figures
that they arolnow striking for. In
other words, many of them say that
even if this strike is gained. it will
be only preliminary to another move
or a similar character, until they got
then wngo upon what they deem a
living basis. These claim that the
money they are paid for the class of
labor they are called upon to perform
renders them a byword and 11 reproach
among fellow railroad employees who
have not as much ability as they poo
