The home of Edward J. Hines in
South Main street was remembered by
the lightning yesterday afternoon.
One bolt ripped through the electric
light meter, burning it out Badly and

it stopped Mr. Hines' watch.

When the storm was most violent
a belt of lightning hit a wire clothes
line and running along it entered the
pantry. knocked pots and pans right
and left. demolished china and stirred
things up pretty well in general. Then
is proceeded to knock out a section
of wall, made a final tour of the place
to see if anything had been left an-
broken and before the family could re~
cover from its surprise made its way
out on a drain pipe

Mitchell Van Hoosier. of the West-

cupola and smashing that in went
out on a chicken wire fence and lost
