Randolph Frederick Candee, the ex-
ceptlonaily bright little four-year-oid
son of Attorney and Mrs. Nehemiah
Candee, died this morning about 5:30
o'clock. at. the family home-63 Bay-
view avenue from pneumonia, follow-
ing an attack of the measles. in ad-
dition to the parents. a. brother and
sister survive. Funeral services will
be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock
from the house. The Rev. C. D. Chunn
pastor of the Third Congregational
Church. of Waterbury. and brother of
Mrs. Candee. will ofilciate.
Janice Cook.
James Cook. of Norwalk. died at the
home of his sister. Mrs. Peter McNer-
ney. in Disses. place. Norwalk, yester-
day afternoon. The funerai will be
held Friday morning at 10 a. m. at St
Mary's Church, and the burial will
take place at St. Mary‘ a cemetery.

There was another big attendance
last evening at Roton Point for the
second of the series of fireworks ex-
hibitions under the 'ausplcea of the
Connecticut Company. Several thou-
sand peopie gathered at every vantage
point and enjoyed thb exhibition,
which was a good one.
The only fly in the ointment of joy
for the big mess of peepie who were
distributed In front of the exhibition

automobilists. one at the top of the
hill leading up from the trolley loop.
and the other at the bottom. who kept
their big gap headlights turned on
