the meantime a still alarm was sent
into tire headquarters. which brought,
both the companies out. By the time
they arrived on the scene. the tire was
out. The awning is of no further use.
and will have to be replaced. as it is
bound repair. HoWHtlie fire started
is a mystery. but it‘ll thought that
someone dropped a lighted cigarette

Changoo in Train service Go Into Ef-
fe¢t Next SundaY.

The New Haven railroad issued its
summer time table last night, to take
effect on next Sunday at 12:01 a. tn.
The two White Mountain expresses
will be put on June 28, the day ex-
press leaving New York daily except
Sundays. at 9:50 a. m., with parlor
cars and an observation car with diner.
This train will be run via Springfield
until October 2, inclusive. The night
express will leave New York at 9 p. 111..
except Sundays, over the same route
with sleepers until September 25.
There will be a through sleeping car
with bullet service to Quebec, and
sleepers to the White Mountains 'nnd
Green Mountains. The Bar Harbor ex-
press will be put on to leave New York
daily except Sundays. on June 21.
There will be through sleepers. The
time limit for the final stopping of
these trains is not given.

The Boston express, via Willimantic,
at 8 a. m., out of New York. will here-
after stop only at Bridgeport..in com-
ing this way—gainin fifteen minutes
by this change. It w ll arrive in Bos-
ton llfteen minutes earlier.

Summer trains are added for local
sound shore travel out of New York.
Minor changes are also made on the
New York division.
