Sherman Council Loses First Game
to New Britain Team.
The carpet. bowls team of Sherman
Council, Royal Arcanttm, returned
home last night frotn New Haven. de-
feated in the first game in the finals
with the New Britain Council team
for the. state championship, but by no
means disheartened. Victory has us-
ually come to the Sherman Council
team in rubber games anti as the fin-
als are the best two ortt of three
games, there is still much hope for the
South Norwalkcrs.
The final score of last night's game.
which was played at, the rooms of Live
Oak Council. in New Haven, this be-
ing a central ground for‘ both teams
was 1 Std 12. At the thirteenth frame
the Sherman Council team led and
then had an unlucky frame.
The date for the second game has
not been definitely decided upon. The
Sherman council team is compoucd of

er, Ralph Comstock and E. S. Bowen.

dent Buried.
The identity of the boy whose dead
body was found along the railroad
tracks irrTJarlen, remains a deep mys-
tery. though a large number of people
from near and far points have called
at the undertaking establishment of
Andrew Taylor to look at the remains
Today Mr‘. Taylor buried the body
in a Darlen cemetery. Previous to thc
interment a photograph of the dead
lad was taken. There was not a single
thing about the boy‘s clothes which
would assist in identification. The
clothes did not even hear the name oi
y’ the maker.
Many boys of similar age. fifteen or
sixteen, from the lironx and vicinity
in New York. get ortt as far as I'inrien
