Clash in Day Street But No Arrests
in the Unpleasantry.
Very few pebple gathered about the U.
& K. factory last evening at closing
time and the only unpleasantry that
developed occurred when a young man
who lives o‘ut of‘town and who is em-
ployed at thefactory walked through
Day street, accompanied by two
friends and met George Hopkins, a
young union hatter. who recently went
through a. critical illness of typhoid
lever.
Hopkins claimed he was bumped
into and pushed into the gutter. The
police report that tilts induced him to
make a swing at the men. Matters
looked promising and Special Police
"man John Lyon hustled up. closely
followed by Ollicer Frank V. Raymond.
Nobody made any complaint. and the
parties in the affair wont along their
way.
