disturbance that was central near Kan-
sas City yesterday morning has moved
northeastward and is now central near
Cleveland, O. Rain extends as far
east. as Pittsburg, Pa. The vicinity
will be on the southern edge of this
disturbance tonight. The temperature
is rising slowly in all sections east of
the Mississippi river. Conditions fa-

Surrender Themselves.
HAVANA, March 19. —-The uprising
in santa Clara province that evidenced
itself by the defection of seven mem-
bers of the rural guard who took to
the woods with their arms and ho1 sea,
has fesulted In complete failure.
Shortly after midnight last night
the government received a dispatch
from General Monteagudo, at Reme-
dies, saying that Seigeant Cortes, his
two sons and the four other men mak
ing up the fugitive party had come in
and surrendered to Senator Jose Es-
pinoza at Pedro Rojas, a small place
near Remedies.
General Gomez promptly issued a
congratulatory proclamation to the Cu-
ban people, in which he said: ' A few
men attempted to disturb the public
order at a, moment when the republic
most needed support. All citizens
and the mutineers have fallen into the
