A sowing bee was indulged in yes
terday afternoon by the ladies of the
Norwalk Congregational Church. which
proved a very interesting and enjoya
bio occasion The meeting was at
tended bv a large number of ladies,
and it is said to have been the largest
meeting of this nature in years.
In the evening a fine chowder srrp
11111 was served to the husbands and
friends of the ladies. fl‘he affair was
in charge of a large committee under
the directions of Mrs. Franklin J Cur
tis. and they deserve much credit for
the success of the event. During the
supper everyone had to take up their
plates and other. things and move
about causing many funny features.
