bedded in the mud at. Mceker's slip in
Norwalk. was raised and floated to her
dock. last evening. at 9:30 o'cloyk.
The keel of the barge is broken from
having been left. so that part. of the
boat projected out. over the channel.
The tag. Addie V.. was sent for. but
her pumps were insufficient to get the
water out. Yesterday morning the tux
went to Lloyd's Neck. Long island. and
secured a large centrifugal pump. With
this in operation at. high tide last
evening the water was all cleared out
of the boat. and the sides were corked
up as well as they could be, and the
barge floated without much trouble.
A large force of men from the
Meeker Coal company assisted in the
operation. Work was commenced to-
day unloading the 250 tons of soft coal
from the hold of the b rge. The boat.
