Company's system by the bridge over
Hell Gate, it is understood that a con-
ference will be held before long be-
tween the officials of the two roads
to take action upon the matter. The
connection is almost certain to be 1111‘
proved by both companies under the
old plan of jointly financing the work
which will cost several million dol-
lars. The i1111.1rove111ent will allow the
New York, New Haven & Hartford
to reach for Its passenger traffic the
new Pennsylvania station I11 New ‘York
city when It is opened, probably two
years from now, but it is not likely
that the old plan of a freight connec
tion with the Pennsylvania via New
York harbor will be carried out.

famous hotels on Broadway. today.
