that a number will be'shortly installed
about the center of the city.
The special town meeting which was
to have been held this evening in the
Town Assembly Hall, in Wall street,
has been postponed until December
15th. The report of the bridge coni-
mlttee, appointed to investigate the .
advisability of erecting a new bridge
at Washington street will be heard
so far as they have progressed. and
should the voters favor it. the sum of
$500 will be appropriated to carry on
the work. .
This year for the first time in seven
years. Cbmpany D will not hold its
annual Christmas night dance, which
