WINSTED’S FOREST FiRE.
WINSTED, Oct. 23.——The forest fire
on Smith Hill, on the outskirts of
Winsted, was reported under control,
11 today. About 150 acres have been
burned over, the tire running east to
Bowley Pond and west to Indian
Meadow. Reports from Canaan are to
the eifect that the forest fires report-
ed in that town last night are under
control.
