of about 10.000 acres ill the heart of
the Adirondacks. lie Was a bachelor,
and spent much of his time. on his
preserves. One of his near us ghbors
was John D. Rockefeller. On he duy
, he was murdered. Dexter started from
his home on Dexter Lake to drive to
the post-office at Santa Clara. Wltliln
- a few hiindrcd feet of his stable, he
was shot by some person concealed in
the woods.
