That accomplice of Leon Jones, the
East Novwaik young man who was
bound over to the Superior court. yes-
irday, under $500 bonds. on a charge
of burglarizing the resdonce of Charl-
cs Smith. is a slippery bird.
The police authorities expected to
nab him before last night, and Officer
Frank Raymond and Constable Sam-
uci C. Ireland spent a good part of
yesterday trailing him, but they were
unsuccessful in their quest. Thus far
he has eluded capture. nnud the police
are1 of the opinion that he has "blown‘
lhe city, and will keep under cover
untl he thinks the affair has quieted
down.
Constable Ireland made a trip down
to Wilson's Point, this morning, look-
ing for his man, but did‘ not get much
trace of him that would prove valua-
ble. .
