John Cole, the Washington street
bridge tender, parted company-with
his watch, yesterday. Mr. Cole was
pulling out two eel pots while'stnnd-
ing on his float, and during the opera-
tion his time piece slipped overboard
To date, it has not been recovered
and presumably w» continue. to tell
time for the fishes and other under
harbor denizens.
