Republican votersl’of Rowayton have
organised The Personal Liberty
league. and a meeting has been called
for next Friday evening when officers
will be elected, and other matters con-
nected with the organization perfect-
ed. Much interest is being taken in
the project. The meeting will be held
in the Vincent building, near the Row
ayton Hose house.
Another pleasant evening is being
planned for the Home Mission Class
of Rowayton, Wednesday evening.
August 5. All the young ladies will
be needed at this meeting, as it is de-
sired that each haVe her part in the
helpful little work that is to be under-
taken by the Home Mission Class this
coming month. Miss iola Stevens the
treasurer. expects to be on hand to re.
ceive the money for the sending out
of the flowers to the sick; also any
report may be brought to this meet-
ing and handed to the secretary, Miss

DARIEN AND NOROTON.
The funeral of Herman Schede, who
died so suddenly last week. at Pear
Tree Point, Ring‘s Eng. Noroton, was
held yesterday afternoon at his late
home in West Norwalk. The Rev. H.
S. Brown, pastor of the Darien Con-
gregational church, oiliciated, and in-
terment followed in Lakewood Ceme-
tery. New Canaan.
