The feature of” Wednesday evening
will be a monster open meeting at
the Hyperion, at which addresses will
he delivered by the leading total ab-
atiucuco advocates of the United
States. Th rsday morning a solemn
high mass 0 requiem will. be celebrat
ed at St John's church at 8 o'clock.
The convention will be in session on
'Thursday roaming and afternon. On
Thursday evening a reception and ball
will be given in Music Hall in honor
of the delegates. invitations will be
extended to membcxs of the local to-
tal abstinence societies and to other
prominent citizens and friends in to
tul' abstinence work.

it is probable that the work of the
convention will be concluded at noon
on Friday. The general committee is
making arrangements for a trolley
ride and outing at Deuble Beach Fri-
day afternoon. A light luncheon will
be served at the beach, and the party
will return to the city in the early
evening for a formal reunion at the
New Haven house. The several cour-
mlttees have several plans for the en-
tertainment of the visitors aside from
the one already stated, and it is ex-
pected that the plans will be perfect-
ed at the meeting of the committees
to be held Tuesday evening. James
F. Brennan is chairman of the general
committees, and is being assisted by
thirty members of St. Aloysius, St.
Patrick’s St. Agnes‘ St. Mary's and St,
Francis' Secieties. Michael J.'Goode,
president of the St. Aloysius T. A. B.
