An important step in the general movement to bring many of the rich stands of timber in the 80th under a sclentiilc plan of forest management is the offer made by the Schoolof Fores- . try of the University of Georgia, at Athens, 0a., to furnish timber owners ekperts who will examine and report upon any of the forests in the state. The object of the offer is to collect information in regard to the forest re. sources of the state, to spread a know‘ ledge of forestry and to improve for- est conditions.
