drop the subject at public street

and dust that roll through the streets
whenever there is any stirring up at

The cases oi voters who hava tailed

up this morning in the Norwalk town
court beiorc Judge [-2. iii. lockwood.
There were only seven. warrants la-
sued yesterday. and several more are
to be issued. (lot at the seven only
two 0! the doiendants put in their
appearance. '
The first one called to the stand
was Anson Forbeil. oi Iirosd River. a
cripple. Attorney Leo i‘lavis said that
he was not doing this work as prose-
cuting attorney. but simply to help
Tax Collector Sidney Guthrie. sir.
Davis said that Mr. Forbeli was not
subject to the military laa. owing to
his lameness.

ty names handed to the tax collector
by the seicctmen. only sixteen could
be used.

and Judge larckwnod looked up the
matter and stated that be lulled to see
where Mr. Guthrie had any authority

Judge Lockwood said that he did
