The members of the Carpenters’ Un-
ion held another very interesting meet-
ing. this morning. at 8 o'clock. in their
quarters In the Gasette building. A
prominent member stated that the alt-
uation remained about the same as
before. He stated further that it was
not the desire of the carpenters to call
out the other building trades on a
strike, as they themselves are not.

Painters' meeting. last night. that it
any non-union carpenters came to work
on the job with them they will imme-
diately leave their work. But so far
there has not been any non-union men
working in the town. and everything
will be done to prevent a general
