Hunt. on the charge of drunkenness.
His case came up this morning in the

Judge Taylor. of South Norwalk. lie
pleaded not guilty. and desired to
have the case continued until he could
secure witnesses and counsel. Judge
Taylor continued the case until Mon-
day morning at [0 o'clock. The. bond
was fixed at 825. which Bunion could
not lurnisb. and he was' taken to the
Water street police station until the
trial.

Both ltiulur cars of the New Canaan
branch were put out of commission
about l0::io last night in the round
house in New Carmen. and steam is
being umi on the branch today. After
the hull trip Inst night, Motonnan
Eugene Ferguson ran the motor into
the round house on the same track on
which the other motor was stationed.
It is necessary to make u ilylng start
in going in. as the pantographs have
to be pulled down in order to permit
the car to pass through the large
double doors. last night the brakes
refused to work. and the motor dash-
ed into the car ahead. rivlng it
through the brick wall an wrecking
the res part of the building. The
rear on of the demolished motor
caught In the falling bricks and timc
hers. and hangs suspended in mid air.
giving it the appearance of a suspen-
sion bridge. Both cars are out of com-
mission f0r a few days. at. least, until
broken windows and twisted iron can
be repaired. The new pantogrnphs
which were recently placed on each
motor were badly damaged. Motorman
Ferguson was not injured, although
he received a severe snaking up. The
wrecking crew and lifting crane from
the Stamford yards were on the scene
